FUN FRIDAY AFTERNOON

On Friday we had a fun afternoon making popcorn, pikelets and pancakes. We also had choices of indoor games to challenge each other.

We will do this again next Term.

What's That Horrible Smell? by Tom

What the heck is that smell? It smells like it’s under

my bed.

How about I have a look under my bed.

Ah!!!

Mum there’s a rat under my bed Ah!!!

Mum came sprinting in dead fast Why the heck are you screaming Lilly!

There’s a rat under my disasters bed and its really hairy help!

Fine I’ll have a look ah!!! Yeah I know right it’s really

Hairy know not that I mean look at all this junk under

Your disgusting bed that’s probably why the rat was there.

How dare you chuck all of this stuff under here like that could have been a delicious Christmas dinner!!!

I swear I didn’t put any of this stuff Sure you didn’t No I promise. Clean this up at once But No Lilly just do it!

Three hours later after horrible smells and disgusting object’s e.g. rotten fish and a horrifying rusting drain pipe!

I could have spent that time having a beautiful sleep on my bed oh well at least it doesn’t smell 

Tom's presentation on architecture

My goal was to design something to do with architecture.  I created in "Minecraft" a 7 story beach hotel.  I presented it to the class on my mum's computer.

It took 3 months to build but I stopped making it for 2 months.

I created this hotel by starting off with the bottom of the hotel. I used at least 300 blocks to build it starting with the base of about fifty blocks.

On the ground floor there was the reception with a swimming pool and a jungle tree hanging over the swimming pool. There was also a swimming pool on the seventh floor with a diving board and resting areas beside the pool.

Other features of this hotel included bedrooms and toilets. There were also chests and furnaces.

My class loved the hotel and wanted to see more designs. I showed them designs I had built including an airbus A3-80 and a remake of my house.

Ollie's Static Energy Experiments

My goal was to show experiments to the class on ststic energy.

First I showed the class how to bend water with static energy. We blew up balloons. Then rub the balloons on our hair to charge the energy. Then we took turns placing the balloons near the water coming out of a tap.

The result was the water bent slightly when the class placed their balloons near the running water. It didn't work so well with people who had shorter hair- less current.

The other experiment I showed the class was using the same balloon to make pepper jump. This worked really well. The pepper jumped and stuck on the balloons. The people with longer hair - the experiment worked better for them again.

Wednesday 5^th March

I wake up. I open the curtains. I am feeling dread full. It is pouring down with rain Is it going to be cancelled?

Later at school everyone is worrying if it is going

To be cancelled. What a relief! it is not cancelled.  YEEAH!

In the hall, we organise our transport. My lovely mum wanted to help and she did. Me and Yazeed went in my mum’s car. All the way I was talking about “Clash of “Clans.

Then we arrived at the camp. No one was there. We waited in side. Thank goodness there were people waiting.

I thought this was the wrong camp. Then I was in the Scout Den with all the boys.

After that everyone had morning tea and lunch.

It was time to walk down to the pool. At the pool there was an inflatable course.   It was scary. I watched others try it first. I was scared I would fall off the side. Later I tried it. I MADE IT with the help of a friend.

I really enjoyed the inflatable at the Kaiapoi Aquatic Centre.

Camp by Oakley Hawes

On Wednesday, we went to Kaiapoi Aquatic Centre and it was fun because I jumped on the inflatible obstacle course. I jumped in the water and the water was deep. All the other people were jumping on my dad and we were pushing dad down in the water.  There were  6 people jumping on my dad.
On Thursrday we did the insect hunt with Miss Shah. You had to get insects and put them in the containers and at the finish we looked at them and they looked gross
On Friday we cleaned up the bunks and then we went to the cemetrey and found dead people.

Camp time at Blue Skies

We had a fantastic time out at Blue Skies.

We visited the Kaiapoi Cemetery and learnt alot about the history of Kaiapoi.

We had awesome fun at the Kaiapoi Aquatic Centre.

We had a great time with the Top Team Challenges.
